About The Amarnath Yatra

The Amarnath Yatra is organised every year by the J &K Govt. during the month of sharavan ( July and August); the dates however , vary every year looking at the weather conditions and according to Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) in the month of Sharavan (Vikrama Samwat).

Yatra to Baba Amarnath Holy Cave for which one has to trek a height of about 14,500 ft is full of thrill and joy .The feeling of divine which is always beneath ones' heart , burst out and one realises 'Moksha' as one attends the Cave and perform the prayer before the Shivlinga . Surrounded by beautiful valleys, mountains , one will always feel His presence on the paradise of the earth, the memory of which hardly vanishes with time A journey which will rediscover the nature and its love which is always inside but one has never felt.

Day Wise Breakup

Day 1 Srinagar – Sonmarg - On arrival at Srinagar airport, transfer to Sonmarg. On arrival check in at the hotel, tea & snacks on arrival. Rest of the day free to relax or visit Thajewas Glacier. Dinner & overnight stay in Sonmarg.

Day 2 Sonmarg-Holy cave-Sinagar - After breakfast transfer from Sonmarg to Baltal. Departure for the Holy Cave by Helicopter from Baltal Helipad and back to Sonmarg after darshan. VIP pass for priority Darshan is provided. On return, transfer by vehicle from Baltal to Srinagar. On arrival check in at the hotel/Deluxe Houseboat.

Day 3 Srinagar - After breakfast time free till departure. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight to the next destination.

Day 3 Ulleytokpo – Leh - Morning drive back to Leh, en route visit Rizong Nunnery & Spituk monastery. Afternoon visit military Hall of Fame, 16th century built Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa world peace pagoda. O/N in Leh.

Day 4 Leh – Nubra Valley - Morning drive to Nubra Valley crossing Khardong-la Pass, the world's highest motorable pass. Afternoon visit Diskit & Hunder Monasteries and the white sand dunes with perhaps a camel safari on the double humped camels which are found only in Nubra as far as India is concerned. O/N at the Deluxe Camp / Hotel.

Day 5 Nubra Valley – Leh - Morning visit Samstanling Monastery and then drive back to Leh via Khardong-la pass. Evening free in Leh bazaar for last minute shopping, in Leh items like pure Pashmina shawls, good pearls, Chinese cutleries and beautiful Ladakhi wooden handicrafts can be purchased. O/N at the hotel.

Day 6 Leh to Pangong Lake & back - Early morning full day excursion to Pangong Lake east of Leh crossing Chngla Pass and driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. Evening free in the market. O/N at the hotel.

Day 7 Leh – Delhi (Flight) - Morning transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi.

A visit to The Corbett Foundation, a public charitable trust, devoted to conservation efforts at Corbett. A lecture on conservation and visit to interpretation center & Mahaseer fish breeding pool. Thereafter, a nature walk in the reserve forest area which is rewarding to study the flora and bird life of corbett. Corbett has 600 species of birds. In the evening, wild life movie. Dinner.

Day 3 - Safari to Dhikala: Early morning, along with packed breakfast, leave by jeep for a safari to Dhikala. Breakfast on the machan the watchtower, positioned over a water hole keep an eye on the water hole for the animals. Jeep safari in Dhikala area. Lunch in the forest rest house, After lunch continue safari till evening. Overnight stay at Forest Rest House.

Day 4 - Depart for Delhi: Early morning safari in Dhikala area. Return to the infinity resort . Depart for Delhi.
